Our client charter

Whatever legal services you need, you have the right to be treated with care and professionalism by your lawyer. The Client Charter is your guide to what to expect from us in terms of customer care.

We will:

  1. Put your interest first when representing you
  2. Be polite and considerate in our dealings with you
  3. Find out from the start what you are hoping to achieve, and aim to make sure that your expectations are realistic
  4. Make every effort to explain things clearly
  5. Tell you who will be handling your work
  6. Explain to you what the costs are likely to be and keep you informed of the costs throughout so that you can determine if a particular course of action is economical
  7. Respond to your letters / phone calls
  8. Update you on developments as and when they occur
  9. Give you a clear bill showing work done and the amount charged
  10. Treat all clients fairly
  11. Keep what you tell us confidential and refuse to act for anyone else if doing so could compromise that confidentiality

There are legal and professional duties which may affect our ability to meet all these standards. For example our duty to the court can override the duty to put your interest first.
